We are currently looking for hand shovellers and salters to join our 2021/2022 Winter team.

This is an on-call position with work available whenever snow falls in the Fraser Valley. We offer a starting wage of $21/hour, and you are paid from the time you leave your house to the time your return home. You will have the opportunity to increase your wage up to $23/hour if you return next winter. You may also be offered the opportunity to join our pest control division during the spring and summer seasons, which could lead to a full-time position.

Due to snow removal’s casual nature, we do not pay overtime until you exceed 40 hours worked in 7 days, or 12 hours in a single shift.

Typically, shifts begin around 7:30-8:00 p.m. and continue through the night into the morning. We provide frequent breaks to allow you to warm-up when needed. Shifts are announced via text or Whatsapp as soon as we know, typically the day of (depending on forecast). The maximum shift length is 12 hours, but the work is flexible, and you may finish your shift early. 

Our job sites are located across the Fraser Valley (Abbotsford, Langley, Mission and Maple Ridge), so reliable transportation is important. We may be able to arrange pickup/drop-off for the right candidates in the correct location. 

After arriving at the first job site, you will travel with a team of 2-6 others for the duration of your shift, working to quickly and safely clear sites before moving on to the next property.
